The Proposal of a Lifetime

Dustin proposed  in Hawaii on the strip near Waikiki beach. He had arranged for us to get our caricatures drawn the night of Saturday Oct. 16th. He was nervous and fidgeting and I thought something might be up but he did a great job of keeping his cool for the most part. It threw me off because the artist appeared like he had no idea who we were...just random people wanting to get our pictures drawn together! As Tiki (the artist) was finished he looked at me, looked at Dustin and said...alright...here is your picture. He showed me and it was cartoon Dustin down on one knee proposing to cartoon Jess. I looked over to my right and Dustin was trying to get a ring out of his pocket, he knelt down on one knee, mumbled through a speech that you could tell he had rehearsed and then blurted out..."will you spend the rest of your life with me?" I was shocked. It was almost like an out of body experience!  It felt like it took me forever to say YES but of course I did! There was a small crowd of people around that witnessed the whole thing. They kept saying "is this for real? is this real life?" ha! It was so special! So perfect. It makes me a little teary eyed to think about it. Dustin always makes me feel so special and this was truly the most perfect way he could have proposed!
